1. Introduction

OptiClear ("we", "our", or "the app") is a Mac system cleaning application developed by Orhan Kılıç. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use OptiClear.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

OptiClear is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, transmit, or store:

• Personal identification information, such as your name or email address
• File names, file paths, file contents, or directory listings
• Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or IP addresses
• Your location

All scanning and cleaning happens entirely on your device. Your files never leave your Mac. The only information that is ever sent off your device is the optional, anonymous usage data described in section 3 — and only if you agree to it.

3. Optional Anonymous Analytics

The first time you open OptiClear, we ask whether you are willing to share anonymous usage data. Nothing is sent unless you agree, and you can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy.

If you agree, OptiClear sends a small number of anonymous product events through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics provider based in the European Union:

• That the app was launched
• That a scan finished — with a rough storage-health score and a size range (for example "1–5 GB") rather than an exact figure
• That a cleanup finished — again as a size range only
• Technical context: app version, macOS version, and device model

These events contain no personal information, no file names, no file paths, and no file contents. TelemetryDeck does not log IP addresses, and the identifier attached to an event is a one-way hash that cannot be traced back to you or your Mac. We use this only to understand which features are used and to find and fix problems. It is never used for advertising, never used to track you across other apps or websites, and never sold or shared with data brokers.

4. Local Data Processing

OptiClear reads file metadata (size, modification date, path) solely to identify files eligible for cleaning. This data is processed locally in memory and is never written to an external service.

5. In-App Purchases

OptiClear offers subscription and one-time purchase options via Apple's StoreKit framework. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. For Apple's privacy practices, see apple.com/legal/privacy.

6. Permissions We Request

OptiClear runs inside Apple's App Sandbox. It can only read folders you choose yourself, and macOS asks for your approval the first time each one is needed:

• Folders you select (such as your Home or Library folder): needed so OptiClear can find caches, logs, duplicates, and leftover files. You pick the folder, and nothing outside it is read.
• Desktop, Documents, Downloads, and removable volumes: only if you ask OptiClear to scan them.
• Controlling other apps (Apple Events): used only to ask a supported app to quit before its leftover files are cleaned.

Every one of these is optional and can be revoked at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

7. Third-Party Services

OptiClear contains no advertising SDKs and no tracking frameworks. The only third party that receives any data is TelemetryDeck, and only for the optional anonymous analytics described in section 3. Purchases are handled by Apple.

8. Children's Privacy

OptiClear is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
